This is the making stage.
The first thing in the making process is to cut and prepare all of the timber to its rough dimensions.
We then finalise the stock dimensions to their exacting thicknesses, widths and lengths.
Once the dimensions are finalised, we add any rebates needed as well the corner joint requirements from mitres to finger joints.
We check around each box and prepare it for finish, once it is ready we apply your choice of wood finish to bring out the pattern and character of the wood.
Now the outside of the box is done we cut and fit the lining material to elevate the inside of the box to the same as the outside and protect all of your valuables.
This is where if needed we add any inlays and sculpt the sides.
After it has all been prepared the next stage is to glue it together and then cut the lid.
Once the lid has been cut we level the lid and the box so all surfaces touch perfectly and are aligned correctly, then the hinges and latch are fitted.
